Rainbow Prophecy

A 200 year old prophecy
by a Cree Indian grandmother.

I see a time

when the birds will fall down from the sky,

the fish will be poisoned in their streams,

the deer will drop in their tracks in the forest

and the seas will be blackened.

This will all be brought upon

by white man's greed.

Although at that time

Indian people will lose their spirit,

they will find it again

and begin to teach the white people

how to have reverence for Mother Earth.

Together, using the symbol of the rainbow

all races of the world will unite

to spread the Indian teachings

and go forth – as Warriors of the Rainbow -

to bring an end to the destruction

and desecration of the earth.
